Backup Watcher for MySQL is very flexible, allows you to back up your data locally (to a PC’s hard-drive ), remotely (to a server via TCP/IP,even if your data is behind a firewall) or to removable storage media (floppies, flash drives, CDs, etc.) The program has a profile wizard, which allows you to create multiple backup profiles, so you may perform “minor” daily backups, while doing total database backup only once a week or month.
There is also a data compression option to conserve disk space, which is no small thing, when your database contains millions of entries.
The program supports multiple languages and can be used as a database transfer tool.
